My name is Sara. I have been an NCPT certified Pilates instructor for over a decade and I am also a certified functional nutrition counselor.
I started Revive and Thrive Studio to share the amazing benefits of pilates, nutrition, lifestyle and mindset with those who are looking for a holistic approach to their health and wellness.
I was always the girl who loved to dance, however, I did not take my first dance class until i was newly married in my early 20's. I signed up for my first class for some exercise and fun and it quickly became my therapy.
Years later After becoming a mom and having a busy and growing family i got away from ballet and found pilates. At that time I was able to appreciate how amazing pilates really is and always could be for me and for any one else. It's something that can be enjoyed by any age and any body.
Movement has been a true source of healing for me on numerous occasions. The discipline, musicality and artistry of ballet provided grounding and an essential outlet during the transition of marriage and relocating to a new state. Later, Pilates became an indispensable tool in my recovery and rebuilding journey following my second and third pregnancies, both of which were c-section deliveries. It was also instrumental in navigating the physical and emotional challenges of two miscarriages. As well as a severe bout of bronchitis, plantar fasciitis, shoulder impingement, and chronic tightness in my hips, and an underlying autoimmune thyroid condition. Pilates along with the right nutrition, lifestyle and mindset have been constant supports, helping me manage and move through these times of my life.
This personal journey through the power of mindful movement, real nutrition and a focused mindset that leads to an authentic lifestyle is what this studio is all about. I look forward to sharing the benefits of these tools with you.
